ASHLAR MASONRY








ash·lar |ˈa sh lər| n’ Ashlar is prepared (or "dressed") stone work of any type of stone.
ma·son·ry |ˈmāsənrē| n’ stonework.
            
A type of building construction utilizing polished stones arranged in a calculated, précise and meticulous manner. When done correctly it can create arches, curves and walls. Ashlar is usually referred to as “dressed “stone because the faces are sometimes embellished or decorated with carvings.
